The local laboratory is one of just over 1,000 clinical research organizations and is centrally located in Springfield, Missouri. Since opening its doors in 1994, QPS has conducted over 1000 FDA-regulated studies and paid out over $35 Million to local participants

The Recruiting Coordinator will perform all related activities as necessary in order to fill current and upcoming studies. This person is responsible for ensuring strict protocol adherence during the recruitment process. Compensation includes a bonus program for each study filled.

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for pre-qualifying potential participants via their medical history and basic demographical information to ensure they meet the protocol qualifications. This person must also be able to discuss and explain pertinent aspects of the study with potential participants and assist them in getting scheduled for the study that best fits them per their medical history and schedule.

The Recruiting Coordinator ensures each study is on track and maintains participant schedules with confirmation and reminder calls. This person will assist in all aspects of office related tasks, including but not limited to, incoming and outgoing calls, sending and replaying to multiple internal and external emails and will assist walk in participants as well.

Essential Functions

Recruit potential participants over the phone (incoming and outgoing), in person or via email. Process participant applications.

  • Create source documents needed for each clinical trial
  • Review protocols to ensure accurate recruitment of qualified participants.
  • Review medical histories of potential participants to ensure completeness and eligibility.
  • Prepare all source documents needed for study physicals. Assist potential and returning participants with any QPS/study related questions.
  • Extensive daily phone work
  • Assist in any marketing/public related activities (off site events)
  • Communicate with your team and Recruitment Manager to ensure studies are on track and are being filled with qualified participants.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of overall business experience.

Prior customer service industry experience desirable.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct or indirect supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Computers run on a Windows based operating system and proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required.

This role is primarily sedentary, but the employee is occasionally required to traverse to other floors, offices, or sites to interact with colleagues or visitors, as well as to bend, stoop or reach to access filing and storage cabinets. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
